In the originally published article [1] (DOI: 10.22514/sv.2024.063), post-publication review by the Editorial Office identified the following two issues:
An inappropriate reference [31] in the Discussion (page 15) section.
A sentence in the Introduction section that lacked sufficient context and clarity.
In collaboration with the authors, the following corrections have been made:
1. Reference [31] has been replaced with a more relevant and appropriate citation:
[31] Nicolau A, Jorge I, Vieira-Marques P, Sa-Couto C. Influence of training with corrective feedback devices on cardiopulmonary resuscitation skills acquisition and retention: systematic review and meta-analysis. JMIR Medical Education. 2024; 10: e59720.
2. The following sentence in the Introduction section has been expanded for clarity:
Original text: “This grim statistic highlights the urgent need for improved emergency interventions, particularly in the crucial minutes following an arrest, before the arrival of professional help [4].”
Corrected text: “This grim statistic highlights the urgent need for improved emergency interventions, particularly in the crucial minutes following an arrest, before the arrival of professional help. Even in patients with acute aortic dissection who received advanced interventions such as ECPR, mortality remains as high as 98% [4], highlighting the limitations of delayed resuscitative measures and reinforcing the critical importance of early, high-quality prehospital CPR.”
The remainder of the Introduction section remains unchanged.
The authors confirm that these corrections do not affect the scientific content, results, interpretations, or conclusions of the original study.
