Professor Giustino Varrassi, MD, is Specialist in Anesthesia and Pain Medicine and former Chairman of the Department of Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, University of L'Aquila, Italy. At the moment, he is president of the Paolo Procacci Foundation via Tacito 7, 00193 Roma, Italy. His interest in Pain Medicine is shown by the many initiatives he has organized in his career: Founding Member and Past-President of the European Federation of IASP Chapters, where he has served in the Executive Board for 21 years; Past-President of the Italian Association for the Study of Pain, where he has served in the Council for over 30 years. In these positions, he has organized over 40 international and national congresses. Moreover, he has an intense publishing activity on Pain Medicine and other aspects of his medical specialty, with over 200 papers in Scopus. Recently, he joins NEMA Research, Inc. as Senior Consultant.
Prof Giovanni Landoni, MD, is Director of the Center for Intensive Care and Anesthesiology of San Raffaele Scientific Institute and Associate Professor at Vita-Salute San Raffaele University, Milan. He was member of the Technical Scientific Committee of AIFA, the Italian Food and Drug Administration and the Italian member of the Representative Council of EACTA (European Association of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologists). His strong clinical and research interests in intensive care has resulted in more than 500 scientific publications in indexed journals, HI=54) including randomized trials on NEJM, Lancet, and JAMA. He participated to 45 randomized controlled trials and was Chief Investigator in successfully completed multicenter randomized clinical trials that randomized > 5,000 critically ill or perioperative patients over the last 5 years.
Prof. Ozgur KARCIOGLU, MD, FEMAT, is a specialist in Emergency Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine, University of Health Sciences, Istanbul Education and Research Hospital, Fatih, Istanbul, Turkey. He serves as an instructor of the American Heart Association-based Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course. He also served as a founder and a board member of The Emergency Medical Association of Turkey, and member of The American College of Emergency Physicians, and The European Society of Emergency Medicine. His 151 articles were published in peer-reviewed journals. His book projects entitled 'Trauma Surgery', 'Poisoning in the Modern World', and 'Cardiac Diseases and Interventions in 21st Century' and 'Emergency Medicine and Trauma' were published in 2018 and 2019, with the publisher InTechOpen. Recently, book projects entitled "Demystifying COVID-19: Understanding the disease, Its Diagnosis and Treatment” and “Cardiac Care and COVID-19: Perspectives in Medical Practice” were accepted for publication in Bentham Science Publishers. His research interests focus on Resuscitation, Pain management, Disaster medicine, Trauma and toxicology.
Dr Eleni Moka, MD, PhD, MSc, EDRA, is a specialist in anaesthesiology, working as a senior consultant in Heraklion – Crete, Greece. Her main clinical interests focus on regional anaesthesia and perioperative pain management, as well as cardiothoracic and vascular anaesthesia. She has been author of peer-reviewed articles, abstracts, and book chapters, and has been an invited speaker in multiple national, European or International congresses, related to her scientific interests. Since 2011, she has been involved in the European Society of Regional Anaesthesia and Pain Therapy (ESRA), via various positions (ESRA Councilor, ESRA Board member, ESRA Scientific Committee member, EDRA Board member), currently serving ESRA from the position of Treasurer of its Executive Board. She is an EDRA diplomate (European Diploma in Regional Anaesthesia and Acute Pain Management) and an EDRA examiner.
Diego Fornasari, MD., PhD, is a specialist in pharmacology. He is Head of the laboratory of Molecular Pharmacology, Department of Medical Biotechnology and Translational Medicine, University of Milan, Italy, and Director of the biomedical library system (SBBL) of the Lombardy Health Service (LHS). He was a President of the graduate course in Medical Biotechnology and Molecular Medicine of the University of Milano. Dr. Fornasari’s Research interests focus on Molecular mechanisms controlling the development and the functions of the autonomic nervous system, Molecular pathogenesis of CCHS (Congenital Central Hypoventilation Syndrome), Pain and inflammation pharmacology, and Pharmacogenetics. He served as a member of SIF Italian Society of Pharmacolgy (SIF), and Italian Association for the Study of Pain (AISD) in 2014-2017 and is a member of the Steering Committee from 2019. He has published over 80 articles in international peer-reviewed journals (sources Scopus and WoS).
Dr. Joseph V. Pergolizzi, Jr., MD, is a specialist in perioperative and pain, and well-versed in the multiplicity of issues confronting patients and caregivers in acute and chronic pain. His research interests focus on acute and chronic pain in adults with a particular focus on pain in the elderly. He is a senior partner at Naples Anesthesia and Pain Associates, Inc, and also serves as the Chief Operating Officer of NEMA Research in Naples, Florida and chairman of the Abstract and Poster Selection Committee for PAINWeek, and a member of the CHANGE PAIN Board. He has leveraged his significant medical, regulatory, and business expertise to build a strong track record of success within the healthcare industry. He is also the author of over 300 peer-reviewed articles, abstracts, platform presentations, and book chapters, and has been awarded the American Medical Association Physician Recognition Award with Commendation.
Prof Marco Cascella, MD, is a specialist in anesthesiology and intensive care medicine at the Istituto Nazionale Tumori, IRCCS, Fondazione Pascale, Napoli, Italy. He is also Professor of Physiology on the Degree Course in Biomedical Laboratory Techniques at the Faculty of Medicine, University 'Federico II”, Naples, Italy. He is a member of the expert committee in cancer pain and palliative care of the Italian Society of Anesthesiology, Analgesia, Resuscitation and Intensive Care (SIAARTI). His clinical research interests include General Anesthesia Research, Pain Research, Cancer Pain Management, and Infectious Diseases in ICU.

He is the First Division Chief, Anesthesiology Department，Chronic Pain Medicine, UW School of Medicine and Public Health, Madison, WI, USA .He acquired many international honors and awards. And he is a member of numerous world medical societies.
Prof Bouarroudj Noreddine, MD, is a specialist in anesthesiology and intensive care medicine. He is the Medical Director of Naoufel Clinic. He is the president of Anesthetists and Critical Care Physicians Association. His clinical research interests include: Interventional pain management and Ultrasound Guided Anesthesia.
