In the originally published article [1] (DOI: 10.22514/sv.2025.100), post-publication review by the Editorial Office identified the following issues:

● Inconsistent numbers of surgical procedures in the Materials and Methods section.

● An inaccurate statement in the Discussion section regarding the use of pedicle screws in female patients.

● Incorrect or inaccurate ethics/consent statement.

In collaboration with the authors, the following corrections have been made:

1. The numbers of surgical procedures in the Materials and Methods section have been clarified in this Correction to match the Abstract and Results sections.

The corrected text in the Materials and Methods section now reads:

“Two surgical techniques were employed: classical open surgery with screws and rods (Fig. 1A) was performed on 15 patients, while minimally invasive vertebroplasty-balloon kyphoplasty (VP-BK) was conducted on 25 patients (Fig. 1B).”

The remainder of the Materials and Methods section remains unchanged.

2. The following sentence in the Discussion section has been corrected for accuracy in this Correction:

Original text: “In the younger female patient cohort, pedicle screws were utilised more frequently, aligning with the specific characteristics of the fracture.”

Corrected text: “Instrumental surgery with pedicle screws was preferentially applied to younger patients (mean age 36.82 ± 11.37 years) compared to those who underwent minimally invasive procedures (mean age 54.40 ± 17.31 years), a difference that was statistically significant (p = 0.001).”

3. The statement in the “Ethics Approval and Consent to Participate” section has been corrected for accuracy in this Correction. The corrected statement reads as follows:

“Ethics Approval and Consent to Participate

Ethical approval for this study was obtained by the ethics committee of Nuh Naci Yazgan University (Date of approval: 01 June 2023; number: 2023/006-007). Due to the retrospective design and the use of fully anonymized data, the requirement for individual patient informed consent was formally waived by the Nuh Naci Yazgan University, Kayseri Local Ethics Committee in accordance with the Turkish Ministry of Health Clinical Research Regulation (Official Gazette No. 28617, 13 April 2013).”

The authors confirm that these corrections resolve inconsistencies in reporting and ensure accurate description of the data. The underlying data, statistical analyses, results, and primary conclusions remain unchanged.

The authors sincerely apologize for these inaccuracies and any inconvenience caused. This Correction has been approved by the Editor-in-Chief. The original article PDF remains available as published and has not been altered. Readers are advised to refer to this Correction for the updated text in the Materials and Methods, Discussion, and Ethics sections.
