In the originally published article [1] (DOI: 10.22514/sv.2025.194), post-publication review by the Editorial Office identified that Reference [27] in the Discussion section was inappropriate and did not support the corresponding statement.
In collaboration with the authors, the following correction has been made in this Correction:
1. Reference [27] has been replaced with a more relevant citation:
[27] Vornholz L, Nienhaus F, Gliem M, Alter C, Henning C, Lang A, et al. Acute heart failure after reperfused ischemic stroke: association with systemic and cardiac inflammatory responses. Frontiers in Physiology. 2021; 12: 782760.
2. The following sentence in the Discussion section has been updated accordingly:
Original text: “Mboi et al. [27] emphasized…”
Corrected text: “Vornholz et al. [27] emphasized…”
The remainder of the Discussion section remains unchanged.
The authors confirm that this correction is limited to the replacement of an inappropriate reference. These changes do not affect the scientific content, results, interpretations, or conclusions of the original study.
The authors sincerely apologize for these inaccuracies and any inconvenience caused. This Correction has been approved by the Editor-in-Chief. The original article PDF remains available as published and has not been altered. Readers are advised to refer to this Correction for the updated Reference [27] and the revised sentence in the Discussion section.
